About TVDXA

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Tennessee Valley DX Association is to bring together radio amateurs in the greater Chattanooga metro area who are interested in, and enjoy working DX. We encourage fellowship among our members, promote good operating practices, and share “insider” information on how to work more DX.

TVDXA was formed in 1989 as a subgroup in the general ham community for those primarily interested in chasing DX. Since then our membership has become quite diverse. We now include DXers, avid contesters, QRP enthusiasts, those interested in emergency communications and rag chewers. SSB, CW, digital, FM and AM are all popular modes with our members. Several of our members have also activated IOTA islands along our Southeastern coastal regions.
