Georgia QSO Party

TVDXA's spring road trip to Dade County, GA — 2nd full weekend of April.

The TVDXA GQP Trip

The Georgia QSO Party (GQP) is held on the 2nd full weekend of April and is co-sponsored by the South East Contest Club and the Southeastern DX Club. The object is to put Georgia's 159 counties on the air for operators around the world.

2024 was the first year TVDXA traveled to a Georgia location for the GQP. Thanks to Kenny Rogers K4KR, we operated from the Rising Fawn Community Center in Dade County — about 45 minutes down I-59 from Chattanooga — running a multi-operator, two-transmitter, low-power station under our club call, N4LT. The dining hall gave us room to spread out, with wire antennas strung between the trees around the property. We had a lot of fun and hope to make it an annual stop.
